This interactive online course can be used as a refresher in tidal planning, weather forecasting and open water crossings or to learn essential planning skills for sea kayak journeys in the moderate to advanced sea environments. A pre-requisite for British Canoeing’s Advanced Sea Kayak Leader.

You will learn how to use a marine radio – a necessity when out on the water. After successfully completing this course you will acquire your VHF Radio operators licence. A legal requirement for anyone who has to use a marine radio!

Calum is an experienced Coach & Leadership educator and has a wealth of experience on the sea. He volunteers as a National Trainer in Sea Kayak for the Scottish Canoe Association and contributes to British Canoes Safety Advisory Panel and Sea Kayak Technical Committee.
